Annette Brashears is a Clinician II for TCHATT at Texas A&M Naresh K. Vashisht College of Medicine, Behavioral Sciences Department. Originally from Houston, Texas, Annette received a Bachelor of Science in Health Education from Texas A&M University, 1988 and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Houston Christian University, 2022. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Texas Certified Teacher.
Her experience includes working as a Caseworker/Investigator with Harris County Children’s Protective Services. Annette later became a teacher and taught kindergarten, first, and second grades for 28 years. She has experience counseling children, teens, adults, and couples both online and in private practice settings. She lived abroad for 10 years in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Indonesia, and Malaysia. Annette is trained in EMDR, trauma-focused CBT, and is working toward a certification in Child-Centered Play Therapy.
