Xiao Meng, MEd

Xiao Meng, MEd, is a doctoral student in the Counseling Psychology program at Texas A&M University. Meng has worked on various research projects including multicultural counseling competence, mother-infant attachment in low-income households in the United States and the development of morality and values in the Chinese context.

During her clinical practice, Meng provided trauma-informed practice to adults suffering from substance-use disorders, sex trafficking survivors, and children with severe emotional challenges.

Meng earned her BA in elementary education from Langfang Teachers College in 2009, her MA in pedagogy principles in 2012 and her MEd in counseling psychology from Lehigh University in 2017.  Meng grew up in Hebei, China. She enjoys yoga, meditation, walking, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
