Mobile Care Clinic
Securing a healthier future for all Texans
We are challenging historical beliefs about how and where quality clinical care is delivered. Our Mobile Care team leverages the strengths of Texas A&M Health members from across its schools, centers and institutes to provide excellent care to those most in need where they are. We bring interdisciplinary health care teams to areas that lack access to care, providing education, screening, prevention and vaccine services throughout Texas.
Some of our services:
- Limited diagnostic testing clinics
- Virtual health seminars
- Focused preventive vaccine services, including COVID-19 and flu vaccines
- Educational seminars
Meeting communities’ unique needs
To meet the unique needs of each community we serve, we work in conjunction with local and state representatives, rural hospitals and clinics, not-for-profit and faith-based organizations, and others. With campus locations, clinical affiliates and strong partnerships spanning the state, we have the connections to intervene directly inside communities.
We also collaborate with other Texas A&M System units—such as the Texas Department of Emergency Management—to assist local health agencies.
Building a health care workforce for the future
Through this work, we are also furthering transformational education for health professions students at our university. Students at the schools of dentistry, medicine, nursing, pharmacy and public health work alongside interprofessional faculty and staff, preparing them for their future in health care leadership.
