About
Dr. Tong is board-certified in advanced heart failure/transplant cardiology and general cardiology. He specializes in treating patients with advanced and complicated heart failure. He has the ability to implement or facilitate an array of support devices and complex procedures with multiple institutions. He is also happy to treat all heart or heart related diseases. He teaches medical students at Bryan-College Station and Houston (EnMED) campuses of Texas A&M University School of Medicine. Furthermore, he conducts research funded by the National Institute of Health with the aim of bringing about better treatments for patients in the future.
Dr. Tong earned his medical degree from the Texas A&M University School of Medicine, completed his internal medicine residency at Duke University Medical Center, and completed an extensive cardiology fellowship including advance heart failure/heart transplants with research at the University of Wisconsin.
