Helene P. Phu

Biography

Helene P. Phu is the associate director of innovation and training with the Clinical Learning Resource Center (CLRC) at Texas A&M Health. She earned her bachelor’s in nursing from Texas Woman’s University and master’s in education from the University of Houston. She has a graduate certificate in integrating innovative technologies in health science education from the University of Houston. She is currently working on her doctorate in professional leadership in health science education. 

Helene’s work experiences include obstetrics, gynecology, oncology, clinical research and academia. Her recent work experience includes simulation, faculty development, interprofessional education, medical residency accreditation, safety and quality improvement. 

Helene is a certified health-care simulation educator, TeamSTEPPS master trainer, and IPE Facilitator. She has experience as a nurse planner, where she ensured that continuing education provided by the organization met the requirements set forth by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and the Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Continuing Education.
