Biography
Aamer Khan joined the Office of Interprofessional Education & Research (IPER) with Texas A&M University (Health) in July 2023. With roots tracing back to Monterey, CA, Aamer has an illustrious instructional background in diverse government, military, and aviation settings - as a program manager, instructional designer, and educational technologist. His expertise aligns with the imperatives of the 21st-century education system, technology integration, design thinking, and the nuances of learning sciences. Aamer's focus areas include digital-age learning, instructional design, curriculum development, and multimedia-based instruction. Previously, he has contributed to various foreign language education initiatives by the Department of Defense from 2011 to 2023. Aamer's leadership and instructional accomplishments were recognized with the award of Civilian Achievement Medal by the DoD in 2016.
Aamer received his MS in Digital Age Learning and Educational Technology from Johns Hopkins University and earned the prestigious Society of Excellence Award. Aamer’s educational background includes a BS in Aeronautical Sciences (University of Peshawar), an MA in Political Science (University of Peshawar), and Educational Leadership Courses from Penn State University.
