Financial Performance Support

Upon completion of the analysis, this project delivers a concise report detailing your health care organizations’ historical and pro-forma financial performance, key financial ratios, market-share capture rates, projected volumes and comprehensive observations. It also offers insights, opportunities and recommendations aimed at enhancing debt capacity and improving financial performance.

We examine financial performance, operational workflows and staffing levels to offer an overall assessment of your physician practice, highlighting opportunities to enhance and improve both financial and operational performances.

By researching external data, we conduct an analysis that encompasses hospital volumes by ZIP code, historical volumes (inpatient, outpatient, ancillary), out-migration, and engagement in population health programs. The findings are compiled into a comprehensive written report and is presented virtually.

Unlock your organization’s full potential with a detailed review of most departments, focusing on hours and statistics to identify areas where productivity can be enhanced and how much of those opportunities equate to savings.

Utilizing a recently filed Medicare cost report and supporting documentation, this evaluation delivers findings and recommendations on accuracy, compliance and identified opportunities. In addition, the report provides analysis on utilization and comparisons with peer hospitals.

This assessment provides a report that summarizes the scope of work and identifies key findings and recommendations. Where feasible, it estimates potential financial opportunities, suggests metrics for implementation, and includes a denial analysis and staffing evaluation.

We use a developed methodology to translate current and future financial performance into a long-range financial plan to understand the path to sustainability. This process is not intended to be a detailed budget level process, but rather, a focus on the material performance drivers that will impact your entity’s longterm financial outlook. In support of this goal, the models allow you to interactively model long range financial planning scenarios, including the development of key hypothetical assumptions.

Utilizing the last 12 months of 835 and 837 electronic remits, we crunch data through a proprietary analysis tool. This analysis will help your hospital understand the source of denials as well as the financial opportunity to focus limited time and resources.

We perform a targeted market assessment to identify immediate opportunities and to assist hospital leadership in evaluating performance over time. The market assessment evaluates the following for the hospital’s defined service area:

  • Demographics
  • Key competitors
  • Market demand trends
  • Hospital internal volume trends by key service lines
  • Market inpatient and outpatient (if available) utilization market share
  • Outmigration trends based on THA and Medicare Part A claims data.

Based on this assessment, we outline potential opportunities for improvement and reducing outmigration (e.g., improving access to local primary care services, identifying specific service line opportunities, engaging physicians, or leveraging outreach opportunities through partnerships with specialists).
