Karen Slater

Biography

Karen Slater is the assistant vice president for development for Texas A&M Health. Slater works closely with university faculty and leadership to design and implement fundraising strategy and development programs in support of the major gift fundraising goals for the five colleges comprising Texas A&M Health: the College of Medicine, the College of Nursing, the Rangel College of Pharmacy, the College of Dentistry, and the School of Public Health.

Prior to joining the Texas A&M Foundation in 2016, Karen worked in the nonprofit sector overseeing program management and philanthropy. Karen received her Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Texas A&M University in 1988 and is currently pursuing a certificate in non-profit management from the Texas A&M Bush School of Government and Public Service.
