Cheryl Ryman
Biography
Cheryl has over a decade of experience as a Standardized Patient (SP), participating in Disaster Day and other simulation events at the Houston and Dallas sites. She was part of the first cohort of Physical Exam Teaching Associates (PETA) starting in 2017 and continued through 2021. Additionally, she served as a Gynecologic Teaching Associate (GTA) and Forensic GTA from 2019 to 2021.
In July 2021, she joined the Texas A&M Simulation & Immersive Learning Center full-time as a Teaching Associate (TA) Coordinator, planning, preparing, and facilitating events for internal and external clients, including coordinating travel, materials, education/training, and facility needs. In August 2022, transitioned to the role of GTA/MUTA Program Manager, overseeing operations and quality for the program.
In summer 2025, Cheryl transitioned to the role of PETA Program Manager, where she continues to oversee similar responsibilities as in the GTA/MUTA program, now with a dedicated focus on PETA.
