Curtis Kellogg
Biography
During Curtis’ 20-year career in the U.S. Navy (2001–2021), he served as a combat medical provider, clinical practitioner, and medical educator, training coalition forces in tactical and clinical patient care. With expertise in tropical and austere medicine, he deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan, Colombia, and the Philippines, cross-training with multinational forces. Curtis specialized in realistic medical training, using moulage, task trainers, and live actors to create immersive tactical combat casualty care scenarios.
Since August 2022, Curtis has been a part of the Texas A&M Simulation & Immersive Learning Center. In this role, he manages simulation coordination, design, and executes realistic training scenarios, maintains high-tech medical simulators, and coordinates student activities to ensure compliance and readiness. His clinical and educational experience allows him to create high-fidelity learning environments that prepare learners for real-world, high-stakes situations. He also provides technical support, maintains equipment, and collaborates with faculty to enhance educational outcomes.
