Danae Prehn
Biography
Danae graduated from Mississippi State University in 2015 with a Bachelor’s degree in General Liberal Arts. She moved to College Station in late 2016 where she became a part of the CLRC’s Standardized Patient (SP) program. Danae jumped at the chance to provide a fresh patient perspective to healthcare providers in training. After learning about the CLRC’s other programs, she became certified as a Gynecological Teaching Associate (GTA) and Physical Examination Teaching Associate (PETA). Danae loves helping students learn physical exam skills while also emphasizing ways they could empower their patients. She joined the CLRC staff as the Bryan SP Program Coordinator in 2018 and transitioned into the TA Program Manager position in 2019. She enjoys serving the students, MUTA’s, GTA’s, PETA’s and SP’s in these unique and vital programs and appreciates that medical simulation and the CLRC gives learners a safe place to learn skills from people who could end up being their future patients.
