Biography
Kim has over 12 years of experience in higher education and hospital-based healthcare simulation. She holds a Master of Education degree in Educational Administration from the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor and is a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE). Kim’s professional goals are to enhance students’ critical thinking skills and improve patient safety outcomes through simulation-based learning experiences. Areas of professional interest include exemplifying the impact of verbal feedback on learner skills and development; improving education and communication skills through simulation; expanding simulation and self-efficacy in medical education; and advancing standardized patient utilization in pediatric education. Seeing the enthusiasm of the participants as their competencies and confidence increase through a series of simulations is what she enjoys most about medical simulation.
