Biography
Kristie has been a registered nurse since 1999, with experience in critical care, management,
and education. She is currently the Manager of Innovation and Academics for the Texas A&M
Simulation Immersive & Learning Center and formerly served as the Site Manager for the Bryan-
College Station Simulation Center site.
As Manager of Innovation and Academics, Kristie collaborates with faculty and staff to deliver high-fidelity clinical learning experiences aligned with course objectives, reviews simulation scenarios,
supports accreditation efforts, oversees data-driven process improvements, develops standard
operating procedures (SOPs), and leads professional development initiatives. In these roles, she
ensures adherence to the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning
(INACSL) Standards of Best Practices and Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) accreditation
standards. Additionally, she facilitates camps and tours and is the secondary University Youth
Program representative for the Sim Center.
In her former role as Site Manager, she directed daily operations, managed cross-department
collaborations, provided curriculum and event support, standardized inventory processes, and
supervised staff. She also played a pivotal role in the design and development of the Texas A&M
Simulation & Immersive Learning Center- McAllen site and continues to contribute to the
advancement of the new sim center.
