Biography
Sarah Atchley earned her BS in Biology from Texas A&M University in 2008. She went on to earn her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies from Harding University in 2010. After graduating she moved back to College Station, Texas and began practicing as a PA at a Family Practice Clinic for 10 years. Over those 10 years along with caring for patients daily she also precepted Nurse Practitioner students and Physician Assistant students, which began to cultivate her love of teaching future medical professionals. In 2020 she began working as a Standardized Patient and Physical Exam Teaching Associate for the TAMU CLRC before becoming the Teaching Associate Program Manager in 2021. Through her experience as a PA and as an educator, she has developed the belief that a solid understanding of the physical exam, as taught through the CLRC’s TA program, is a strong foundation for healthcare providers’ education. And it is this understanding that will result in caring and competent healthcare providers and is crucial for creating and maintaining patients’ well-being and trust. When she is not at work, Sarah loves spending time with her husband and their dogs.
