About S. Camille Peres
Camille Peres’ research interests are ergonomic impact and software design, auditory design display, fatigue assessment and mitigation for workers in high-risk industrial settings, human factors of procedures and implementation, integrations of human factors in high-risk industries, disaster ergonomics and attributes of effective digital procedural systems.
Peres is an associate professor in the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health at the Texas A&M University School of Public Health. She also holds a joint appointment in the Wm Michael Barnes ’64 Department of Industrial & Systems Engineering and is a faculty affiliate of the Texas A&M Ergo Center and a faculty associate of the Mary Kay O’Connor Process Safety Center.
Peres received her Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Rice University, Bachelor of Arts in technical theatre and Master of Arts in psychology, both from University of Houston-Clear Lake.
Peres is a member of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine Committee to Decrease Risk of Offshore Energy Operation. She received the Human Factors Best Paper Award in 2019 and the Houston Human Factors and Ergonomics Society Best Presentation Award in 2017.
