Gynecological Teaching Associate and Male Urogenital Teaching Associate (GTA/MUTA) Program
The GTA/MUTA program aims to improve healthcare outcomes by providing healthcare profession students with a unique opportunity to perform sensitive invasive exams on a live person in confidential and safe learning environments. GTAs and MUTAs receive specialized training to use their bodies as teaching tools to teach communication, empathy, and the techniques of performing urogenital, prostate, breast, and pelvic examinations. This program teaches patient centered care and empowersparticipants/providerswith sessions that build competence and confidence.
